Job Overview
IORI seeks a passionate Marine Biologist to lead coastal ecosystem monitoring projects in Morocco’s Atlantic coastline. This role supports global research on marine biodiversity and climate change impacts. The position offers opportunities to contribute to international scientific publications and policy recommendations for marine conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field research on marine biodiversity in Agadir’s coastal regions
- Lead data collection and analysis for oceanographic studies
- Collaborate with international teams on climate change impact assessments
- Prepare scientific reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Supervise local research assistants and interns
- Develop conservation strategies for vulnerable marine species
Required Skills
- Expertise in marine ecosystem analysis
- Proficiency in oceanographic data software (e.g., Ocean Data View)
- Strong field research and laboratory analysis capabilities
- Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills
- Bilingual in Arabic and English
- Experience with GIS mapping for marine habitats
