Job Overview
The Smart City Sustainability Coordinator will lead the development and execution of urban sustainability projects in Marrakech, focusing on integrating green infrastructure, smart energy systems, and circular economy principles. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional passionate about transforming cities into eco-efficient, livable spaces aligned with global climate action frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart city sustainability strategies for public and private sector clients
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to align projects with local climate action plans
- Conduct feasibility studies for renewable energy integration in urban environments
- Monitor and report on sustainability KPIs using IoT-based smart city platforms
- Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, urban planners, and environmental scientists
- Secure funding through EU Green Deal and Moroccan government grant programs
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in smart city project management
- Strong understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management standards
- Proficiency in GIS mapping for urban sustainability analysis
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Moroccan urban development regulations
- Fluency in French and Arabic preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development or Smart City Technologies preferred
Experience

Salary
