Job Overview
This role involves designing and optimizing smart grid solutions to integrate renewable energy sources into Morocco’s national electricity network. The position reports to the Regional Energy Systems Director and collaborates with utility providers, engineers, and policymakers to ensure seamless energy distribution. Candidates will work on cutting-edge projects aligned with Morocco’s National Renewable Energy Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop smart grid architectures for wind and solar energy integration
- Conduct load-balancing simulations using grid management software
- Collaborate with utility providers to optimize energy distribution
- Monitor grid performance and implement real-time adjustments
- Prepare technical reports for regulatory compliance and stakeholder reviews
Required Skills
- Proficiency in grid simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT)
- Experience with IEC 61850 communication protocols
- Strong analytical skills for energy demand forecasting
- Knowledge of Moroccan energy regulations and standards
- Excellent project management and cross-team collaboration abilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience
3–5 years in smart grid design, renewable energy integration, or power systems engineering. Experience in North African energy markets is a plus.
Salary
45,000 – 55,000 MAD annually, with performance-based bonuses.
