Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies aligned with Moroccan and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and equipment handling.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for compliance audits and certifications.
  • Monitor environmental impact and enforce sustainable mining practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in mining safety or occupational health & safety.
  • Strong knowledge of Moroccan mining regulations and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment tools and safety management software.
  • Bilingual (Arabic/French or English/French preferred).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in mining safety, preferably in open-pit or underground operations.

Salary

40,000 – 55,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses.
