Job Overview
The Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, validating, and integrating complex avionics, propulsion, and structural systems for Airbus programmes. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the engineer will ensure seamless interaction between subsystems, adherence to regulatory requirements, and alignment with customer specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of avionics, electrical, and mechanical subsystems into aircraft platforms.
- Develop and execute integration test plans, procedures, and validation protocols.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve interface issues.
- Perform system performance analyses, risk assessments, and root‑cause investigations.
- Ensure compliance with international aviation standards such as DO‑178C, ARP4754A, and FAA/EASA regulations.
- Document integration processes, test results, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying integration bottlenecks and proposing innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of aerospace systems architecture and integration methodologies.
- Proficiency with modelling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, SysML) and test equipment.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills in English; French is an advantage.
- Experience with configuration management and version control systems.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) are highly desirable and may be considered for senior‑level responsibilities. Candidates should have a solid academic foundation in systems engineering, control theory, and aircraft structures.
Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in aerospace systems integration, preferably within a commercial aircraft or defense programme.
