Job Overview

The Advanced Materials Manufacturing Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and scale‑up of innovative material production processes at BASF’s Marrakech facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R&D to transfer laboratory formulations to full‑scale production while ensuring reproducibility.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues.
  • Optimize resource utilization, energy consumption, and waste reduction in line with BASF’s sustainability targets.
  • Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory filings.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training to production staff.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, composite manufacturing, and process engineering.
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and data analysis software.
  • Experience with pilot plant operations, scale‑up, and technology transfer.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).

Education
