Job Overview
The Network Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and expanding Inwi’s mobile and fixed‑line network infrastructure across the Rabat region and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed network design and capacity plans for 4G, 5G, and fiber deployments.
- Conduct radio frequency (RF) analysis, site surveys, and propagation modeling to optimize coverage and capacity.
- Collaborate with vendor partners to evaluate equipment specifications, cost estimates, and implementation timelines.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, project briefs, and performance validation results.
- Support the rollout of network upgrades by coordinating with construction, civil, and regulatory teams.
- Monitor network performance post‑deployment and recommend optimization measures.
- Ensure compliance with national telecom regulations and Inwi’s internal standards.
- Participate in cross‑functional workshops to align network strategies with business objectives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or iBwave.
- Strong understanding of LTE, 5G NR, and fiber optics technologies.
- Experience with RF engineering concepts, propagation models, and interference mitigation.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Project management fundamentals and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in French and Arabic; English proficiency is a plus.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in RF planning, 5G technologies, or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in telecom network planning, preferably within a mobile operator environment. Experience with large‑scale network rollouts, spectrum management, and vendor coordination will be highly valued.
Salary
