Job Overview

Abbott is seeking a Business Development & Sales Manager to lead growth within its Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) division in Morocco. Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

  • Drive business growth and revenue generation across private and public healthcare sectors
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, market expansion plans, and growth targets
  • Lead the adoption of Point-of-Care Diagnostics (POC) solutions
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, accounts, and healthcare projects
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and ethical standards

Sales & Account Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, insurers, distributors, and government bodies
  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare decision-makers
  • Manage and expand distributor networks and partnerships
  • Execute consultative selling strategies to promote diagnostic solutions
  • Achieve double-digit sales growth and profitability targets

Operations & Planning

  • Develop territory business plans and sales forecasts
  • Monitor sales pipelines, performance metrics, and reporting
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, medical, and regulatory teams
  • Lead product launches, including self-testing and professional diagnostics solutions

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across regional and global teams
  • Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, funders, and procurement bodies
  • Contribute to regional strategy, budgeting, and execution planning
  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on market trends and opportunities

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or Medical Sciences
  • MBA or Business Diploma is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the healthcare or diagnostics industry
  • Strong background in French-speaking African markets, especially Morocco
  • Proven experience in sales management, business development, and leadership roles

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostics industry practices and healthcare systems
  • Experience in medical equipment leasing and managed services
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage long and complex sales cycles (9+ months)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Languages

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Arabic is an advantage
