Job Overview

The Data Privacy Officer will lead Deloitte Morocco’s data protection practice, advising clients on compliance with Morocco’s data protection law (Law 09-08) and international frameworks such as GDPR. The role involves conducting privacy impact assessments, developing governance frameworks, and delivering training programs that embed privacy by design into business processes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, including legal, IT, risk, and audit, to ensure that privacy considerations are integrated throughout project lifecycles. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data privacy programs for clients across multiple sectors.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Advise senior management on compliance with Moroccan data protection law, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate privacy policies, data processing agreements, and cross‑border data transfer mechanisms.
  • Lead incident response activities, including breach investigations and regulatory notifications.
  • Design and deliver customized training workshops and awareness campaigns for client staff.
  • Collaborate with Deloitte’s audit and risk teams to integrate privacy controls into broader governance frameworks.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce thought leadership content, whitepapers, and case studies to enhance Deloitte’s market presence.
  • Represent Deloitte at conferences, webinars, and industry forums to showcase expertise.

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Moroccan data protection law (Law 09-08) and international privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on risk assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic, French, and English.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents, policies, and contractual clauses.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Project management expertise with the capacity to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with privacy management tools and data mapping software.

Education

A Master’s degree in Law, Data Protection, Information Security, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M, CIPM, or ISO 27701 Lead Implementer are highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in data privacy, compliance, or legal advisory roles, preferably within a consulting environment or a large multinational corporation. Experience serving clients in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, or public administration will be valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 180,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
