Job Overview

This Environmental Compliance Specialist role is part of Socotec Morocco’s initiative to expand its environmental consulting division in southern Morocco. The position requires a proactive professional to support clients in meeting national and international environmental regulations while promoting sustainable development. The role is based in Agadir, a key hub for coastal and industrial projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for industrial and infrastructure projects
  • Monitor compliance with Moroccan environmental laws and EU sustainability directives
  • Prepare technical reports and certification documents for clients
  • Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders on regulatory submissions
  • Design customized compliance training programs for corporate clients
  • Implement waste management and pollution prevention strategies

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Moroccan environmental regulations and ISO 14001 standards
  • Proficiency in environmental data analysis and GIS mapping tools
  • Strong communication skills for client presentations and reports
  • Fluency in French and Arabic preferred
  • Experience with industrial safety protocols and EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) systems
  • Ability to conduct field inspections and laboratory sample analysis

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Sustainability or Environmental Management preferred
  • Certifications in Environmental Compliance (CEC) or LEED accreditation advantageous

Experience

  • 3-5 years in environmental compliance or sustainability consulting
  • Proven track record in regulatory submissions and audit processes
  • Experience working on coastal or industrial environmental projects

Salary

35,000 – 45,000 MAD monthly, depending on experience and qualifications.
