Job Overview
The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of technicians responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of Caterpillar’s fleet of construction machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, and motor graders. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of 8‑12 maintenance technicians, scheduling daily tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all heavy equipment, reducing unplanned breakdowns by at least 15%.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and hydraulic issues, providing technical guidance and hands‑on support when needed.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and compliance documentation in the company’s maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with parts and logistics departments to ensure timely availability of spare parts and consumables.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and generate performance reports for senior management.
- Lead root‑cause analysis investigations for recurring failures and recommend engineering improvements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local labor regulations, environmental standards, and Caterpillar’s global quality policies.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic control units used in construction machinery.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, torque wrenches, and computerized maintenance software.

Education
