Job Overview

The Industrial Automation Engineer will design, implement and optimize automation systems for Siemens’ manufacturing clients in Morocco and the broader MENA region. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will develop PLC programs, configure SCADA interfaces, and integrate IoT sensors to improve production efficiency, quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and program PLCs (Siemens S7, TIA Portal) for complex manufacturing processes.
• Configure and maintain SCADA/HMI systems, ensuring real‑time data visualization and control.
• Integrate industrial IoT devices, sensors and edge computing platforms to enable predictive maintenance.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost‑benefit analyses for automation projects.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Provide on‑site installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting support.
• Develop detailed documentation, including functional specifications, wiring diagrams and user manuals.
• Train client personnel on system operation, maintenance and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC 61131, ISO 9001) and local regulations.
• Continuously monitor system performance and propose optimization initiatives.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7, TIA Portal) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA).
• Experience with industrial IoT platforms, edge computing and data analytics.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics, control circuits and safety standards.
• Problem‑solving mindset with ability to diagnose complex automation issues.

Education

Experience
