Job Overview
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Orange Morocco’s core network assets to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Working in a 24/7 environment, the engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve incidents, implement upgrades, and maintain high performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor network performance using advanced NOC tools and dashboards.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance degradations within defined SLA windows.
- Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and service providers to implement corrective actions and network upgrades.
- Document incident reports, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans for future reference.
- Participate in on‑call rotation to provide after‑hours support for critical network events.
- Assist in capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization projects to support growing traffic demands.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency with network monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Huawei, or Nokia.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
Experience
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in network operations, NOC environments, or similar roles within the telecommunications sector. Prior exposure to large‑scale carrier networks and experience with incident management processes will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 180,000 to SSP 240,000 annually, reflecting the candidate’s expertise, experience, and the strategic importance of the role. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
