Job Purpose

The Project Cost Management Engineer will be responsible for structuring project cost management activities, monitoring investment objectives, ensuring cost optimization, and supporting financial forecasting across automotive and engineering projects.

The role involves working closely with project stakeholders, purchasing teams, manufacturing units, and financial controllers to achieve project cost targets while maintaining performance, quality, timelines, and operational efficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities

Project Cost Management & Financial Planning

  • Structure project cost management activities according to Job Share, Pay Share, and RASI frameworks established by project partners.
  • Monitor engineering and design activities to ensure alignment with target project cost objectives.
  • Ensure TPC (Total Project Cost) investment optimization while balancing project performance, quality, delivery schedules, and R&D expenses.

Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain detailed economic project reporting for advanced, serial-life, and production-stage projects.
  • Monitor and forecast:
    • Investment expenses
    • Project cost targets
    • Financial performance indicators
    • Budget variance analysis
  • Provide accurate cost reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
