Job Description (JD)
Oracle is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Sales Consultant – Banking Solutions to lead client engagements and support the sales of Oracle banking applications across French-speaking Africa.
This position requires a seasoned banking and financial technology professional with strong expertise in Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Payments, Lending, Treasury, and Trade Finance systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in driving the sales lifecycle, supporting Oracle Banking Sales Managers, developing strategic banking solutions, and delivering value-based consulting engagements.
The role involves working closely with financial institutions, understanding client business requirements, leading demonstrations, conducting fit-gap analysis, and ensuring Oracle’s banking solutions align with customer needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Principal Sales Consultant will be responsible for:
- Leading client engagements within Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and Financial Institutions Banking domains
- Supporting Oracle Banking Sales Managers across Africa from both commercial and functional perspectives
- Managing the complete sales cycle end-to-end, from opportunity identification to solution positioning and deal closure
- Designing customized banking solutions based on client operational and business requirements
- Leading value proposition presentations, product demonstrations, and user story development for prospective customers
- Conducting fit-gap analysis between banking requirements and Oracle FSGBU solutions
- Preparing functional specifications, requirement documents, and RFx (RFI/RFP) responses
- Supporting product development through market intelligence, industry research, and customer feedback
- Collaborating with product management teams to influence future Oracle banking solutions
- Driving cross-line-of-business opportunities through collaboration with solution consultants and product managers
- Evaluating third-party vendors and technologies to enhance customer banking ecosystems
- Maintaining awareness of banking regulations, market trends, and evolving financial industry needs, particularly across French-speaking African regions

Education Requirements
