Job Description (JD)

AVL Maroc SARL AU is hiring an experienced Senior Engineering Layout Designer to support large-scale industrial and energy infrastructure projects in Morocco. The role is best suited for professionals with a strong background in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project execution, especially within chemical processing, hydrogen, oil & gas, or power plant engineering environments.

The selected candidate will contribute to the design and optimization of electrolyzer plants, ensuring technical excellence in plant layouts, piping systems, instrumentation, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Engineering Layout Designer will be responsible for:

  • Leading and contributing to the engineering design and layout of large-scale electrolyzer plants
  • Designing plant systems including equipment sizing, piping systems, instrumentation layouts, and structural interfaces
  • Coordinating closely with process, electrical, mechanical, and control engineering teams to ensure fully integrated plant designs
  • Supporting the optimization of engineering layouts for cost-effectiveness, maintainability, operational safety, and scalability
  • Participating in design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering documentation preparation
  • Supporting construction documentation and EPC project execution according to international engineering standards
  • Contributing to project planning, feasibility studies, and cost estimation activities
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable industry codes and engineering best practices

Education Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Experience handling both greenfield and brownfield project implementations will be highly advantageous
