We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Tétouan, Morocco. The successful candidate will work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fishers and their communities.
Job Overview
The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fishers and their communities. This will involve working closely with local partners to design and implement aquaculture projects that promote sustainable fishing practices and improve the livelihoods of small-scale fishers.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to local partners on sustainable aquaculture practices, including fish farming, fish processing, and marketing. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of aquaculture projects on small-scale fishers and their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fishers and their communities.
- Work closely with local partners to design and implement aquaculture projects that promote sustainable fishing practices and improve the livelihoods of small-scale fishers.
- Provide technical assistance to local partners on sustainable aquaculture practices, including fish farming, fish processing, and marketing.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of aquaculture projects on small-scale fishers and their communities.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in aquaculture and fisheries management.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable aquaculture practices and their impact on small-scale fishers and their communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
