WorldFish is an international, nonprofit research organization that works to reduce poverty and hunger by improving fisheries and aquaculture. We are seeking a Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Dakhla, Morocco.

As a Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices in Morocco. You will work closely with local stakeholders, including farmers, government officials, and other organizations to promote the adoption of sustainable aquaculture practices.

Reports to: Aquaculture Program Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices in Morocco
  • Work with local stakeholders to promote the adoption of sustainable aquaculture practices
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving aquaculture practices in Morocco
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and other stakeholders on sustainable aquaculture practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable aquaculture practices in Morocco

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in aquaculture or related field
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable aquaculture practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
