Job Overview
This role is part of Cargill Morocco’s initiative to optimize supply chain operations in the southern agricultural corridor. The Agri-Business Supply Chain Specialist will design and implement logistics solutions for crop procurement, storage, and distribution, ensuring alignment with global sustainability standards. The position requires collaboration with local cooperatives, government agencies, and international stakeholders to enhance supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies for agricultural commodities in Taroudant region
- Coordinate with farmers’ cooperatives to establish procurement timelines and quality standards
- Optimize transportation routes and inventory management for perishable goods
- Implement traceability systems to ensure compliance with EU and Moroccan food safety regulations
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for supply chain improvements
- Monitor market trends to adjust procurement and distribution strategies
Required Skills
- Proven experience in agricultural supply chain management
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of Moroccan agricultural policies and export regulations
- Fluency in Arabic and French; English proficiency a plus
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CPIM) advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years in agricultural supply chain roles
- Experience in Moroccan agri-food sector strongly preferred
- Project management experience in rural development contexts
Salary
35,000 – 45,000 MAD/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
