Job Overview
We are seeking a highly specialized Hydraulic Component Design Specialist to join our R&D division in Tan-Tan. This role is critical to our mission of developing next-generation hydraulic systems for heavy-duty earthmoving and mining equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, simulation, and testing of complex hydraulic circuits and components. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced hydraulic systems and components using 3D CAD software.
- Conduct complex fluid flow simulations and pressure drop analyses to optimize system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydraulic systems into larger machine assemblies.
- Perform rigorous failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on new component designs.
- Oversee prototype testing and validate performance against strict industry standards.
- Document all design specifications, technical drawings, and testing protocols.
Required Skills
- Expertise in hydraulic circuit design and fluid power principles.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Strong understanding of material science related to high-pressure hydraulic components.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex mechanical systems.
- Excellent technical communication skills in both English and French.
- Project management skills for handling multiple design iterations simultaneously.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory. Candidates with a PhD specializing in hydraulic systems will be given preference.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in the design and development of hydraulic systems within the heavy machinery or automotive industry is required. Proven experience in simulation-driven design is highly desirable.
Salary
The starting salary for this position is 25,000 SSP per month, with a maximum potential of 35,000 SSP based on experience and performance evaluations.
