Job Overview
The Logistics Network Optimization Manager will lead the design, analysis, and implementation of network strategies that enhance DHL’s freight movement efficiency across Morocco and the broader MENA region. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, leveraging data‑driven insights, and applying advanced optimization techniques to reduce transit times, lower costs, and improve service reliability. The manager will also act as a key liaison with customers, ensuring that network solutions align with their business objectives and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously refine the end‑to‑end logistics network model for Morocco, incorporating multimodal transport options, warehouse locations, and last‑mile delivery strategies.
- Conduct scenario analysis and cost‑benefit assessments to support network redesign initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability targets.
- Collaborate with regional sales, operations, and customer service teams to translate market demand into actionable network plans.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau) to monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, cost per shipment, and carbon emissions.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams to implement network changes, overseeing timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting optimization outcomes and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including carriers, customs authorities, and technology vendors.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, customs procedures, and DHL’s internal policies.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in logistics network design, transportation modeling, and supply chain optimization.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis software and programming languages (SQL, Python, R).
- Excellent project management abilities, including stakeholder coordination and change management.
- Effective communication skills in both French and Arabic; English proficiency is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Moroccan customs regulations, import/export processes, and regional trade agreements.
- Experience with digital logistics platforms, IoT tracking, and AI‑driven routing solutions.
- Leadership qualities with a track record of mentoring junior analysts or engineers.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or PMP are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in logistics network planning, transportation optimization, or supply chain consulting, preferably within a multinational logistics or freight forwarding organization.
