Job Overview
The Network Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and expanding Inwi’s radio access network (RAN) and core infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Network Engineering, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop robust network plans that meet capacity, coverage, and quality of service targets while aligning with regulatory requirements and business objectives. This position offers a unique chance to influence the deployment of next‑generation technologies, including 5G, and to contribute to Inwi’s mission of delivering seamless connectivity across Morocco.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive radio frequency (RF) planning, including site selection, frequency allocation, and interference analysis.
- Develop detailed network rollout plans, capacity forecasts, and performance benchmarks for 4G and 5G deployments.
- Collaborate with civil engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of network assets.
- Utilize advanced planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet) to simulate network scenarios and optimize coverage.
- Perform post‑deployment audits, drive KPI monitoring, and implement corrective actions to enhance network performance.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Stay abreast of emerging telecom standards, industry trends, and competitive landscape to propose innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR architecture, RF propagation, and network optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Atoll, Planet, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills in Arabic, French, and English.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Nokia) are considered a strong advantage.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in telecom network planning, preferably with exposure to both 4G LTE and 5G deployments. Prior experience in a carrier environment or major equipment vendor is highly valued.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 180,000 to SSP 240,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme.
