Job Overview

The Project Controls Engineer will join the Project Management Office (PMO) in Oujda, playing a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and controlling the cost, schedule, and performance of large‑scale construction projects funded by Barclays Bank Morocco. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts, integrating financial data from the banking side.
  • Monitor project performance against baseline plans, generating variance reports and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to track change orders, claims, and risk registers.
  • Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to assess project health and forecast final outcomes.
  • Support senior management with dashboards and presentations for stakeholder reviews and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local construction codes, banking regulations, and Barclays’ internal governance standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools (SAP, Oracle Primavera Cost).
  • Strong analytical abilities with a solid understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and integrate them into project control processes.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or Prince2 will be given preference.
