Job Overview
This Smart Grid Solutions Engineer role is part of Schneider Electric’s initiative to modernize Morocco’s energy infrastructure. The position requires designing, implementing, and optimizing smart grid systems that integrate renewable energy sources with traditional power networks. Candidates will work on projects aligned with Morocco’s National Energy Strategy, contributing to energy security and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart grid solutions for urban and rural energy distribution networks
- Integrate renewable energy systems (solar, wind) with existing power grids
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for grid modernization projects
- Collaborate with local utilities and government agencies on energy policy implementation
- Monitor and optimize grid performance using advanced analytics and IoT technologies
- Provide technical support for smart metering and demand response systems
Required Skills
- Expertise in smart grid architecture and energy management systems
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and grid automation software
- Knowledge of Moroccan energy regulations and standards
- Experience with renewable energy integration and grid stability analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex energy systems
- Fluency in English and French (preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Energy Systems or Smart Grid Technologies (preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in smart grid or energy systems engineering
- Proven track record in energy infrastructure projects
- Experience in Morocco’s energy sector (preferred)
Salary
42,000 – 65,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
