We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Dakhla, Morocco. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our aquaculture research and development programs in Morocco, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices.

Job Overview

The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for leading our aquaculture research and development programs in Morocco, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aquaculture, with experience in research and development, as well as a proven track record of working with local communities and stakeholders.

The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Leading our aquaculture research and development programs in Morocco, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices.
  • Developing and implementing research and development projects that improve the productivity and sustainability of aquaculture systems.
  • Working closely with local communities and stakeholders to promote the adoption of best practices by farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other WorldFish teams to develop and implement integrated aquaculture and fisheries management plans.
  • Providing technical assistance and support to local farmers and other stakeholders to improve their aquaculture practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our aquaculture research and development programs in Morocco, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices.
  • Develop and implement research and development projects that improve the productivity and sustainability of aquaculture systems.
  • Work closely with local communities and stakeholders to promote the adoption of best practices by farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other WorldFish teams to develop and implement integrated aquaculture and fisheries management plans.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local farmers and other stakeholders to improve their aquaculture practices.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in research and development, with a focus on aquaculture.
  • Proven track record of working with local communities and stakeholders to promote the adoption of best practices by farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with local stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education

Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in research and development, with a focus on aquaculture.

Salary

50,000 – 70,000 SSP per year.
