Job Overview
This role is central to Skanska Morocco’s mission to design and implement net-zero energy buildings in Chefchaouen. The Green Building Design Specialist will collaborate with architects, engineers, and local stakeholders to create structures that minimize environmental impact while maximizing energy performance. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Morocco’s leadership in sustainable construction within the Morocco Jobs market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop energy-efficient building designs using BIM and sustainability software
- Conduct lifecycle assessments for materials and systems
- Ensure compliance with international green building standards (LEED, BREEAM)
- Coordinate with municipal authorities for sustainable urban planning approvals
- Integrate renewable energy solutions into architectural blueprints
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and EnergyPlus simulation tools
- Expertise in passive design principles and thermal insulation techniques
- Knowledge of Moroccan building codes and environmental regulations
- Fluency in French and Arabic preferred
- Project management experience in multidisciplinary teams
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Environmental Engineering. Advanced certification in sustainable design (e.g., LEED AP) is a strong advantage.
Experience
3-5 years in green building design, with a proven track record in low-carbon construction projects. Experience in North African markets is preferred.
Salary
45,000 – 55,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses and project incentives.
