Job Overview

This position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional passionate about merging hospitality excellence with environmental stewardship. The Sustainable Hospitality Operations Manager will lead initiatives to reduce the hotel’s ecological footprint, enhance guest engagement through eco-conscious services, and ensure compliance with international sustainability certifications like LEED and BREEAM. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align daily operations with global sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies for hotel operations, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance teams to integrate eco-friendly practices into service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability KPIs, such as carbon emissions, recycling rates, and renewable energy usage.
  • Design guest programs promoting sustainable tourism, such as local cultural experiences and eco-tours.
  • Ensure adherence to international sustainability standards and certifications.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality operations with a focus on sustainability.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multi-departmental initiatives.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and green certification processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for training staff and engaging guests.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools for tracking sustainability metrics.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Sustainable Tourism or Environmental Management is a plus.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in hospitality operations, preferably in a managerial role with demonstrated success in sustainability projects. Experience in luxury or boutique hotel environments is advantageous.

Salary

120,000 – 150,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and achievements in sustainability leadership.
